SPOILERS AHEAD
The Basics:
Glenn is still searching for Maggie. Daryl learns the rules of his new group.
The Analysis:
First off, RICK SIGHTING. Yep Rick appeared for a whisper in the wind this episode. And in that brief scene, it seemed like maybe they were hinting at a relationship to come between Rick and Michonne. As for the beef of the episode, it delivered one of the more action-packed episodes in the back half of this season. I am totally okay with that too, as I was getting bored with the last few weeks, mainly due to all the characters getting the same idea and then that idea gets cancelled immediately.
Daryl is with his new group (who may be the Hunters) and is learning the rules. I enjoyed Jeff Kober's scenes as the ambiguous leader of this group. You never quite know what he is thinking. I couldn't tell you how many times I thought Daryl was in trouble, only to have Kober defend him. I'm not sure if Kober favors Daryl over everyone in this group or he is trying to use Daryl. This relationship will probably end badly, though, with Kober's character telling Daryl that Rick (Daryl doesn't know that) killed one of their men and that they are headed to Terminus to find him. I can't wait to see what happens here.
We got to see Glenn with Abraham and the gang. Eugene got to say a little more this week, and I think he needs to keep his mouth shut. He has zero social skills. None. He couldn't even make a good effort at flirting with Tara. Eventually the gangs went their separate ways, with a nice goodbye between Abraham's gang and Glenn and Tara. For a brief second it showed a gentler, more friendly side to Abraham. I hope we see that more, although the wise-cracking version is also pretty great. This led to a compromising situation and wouldn't ya know it, Abraham shows up with Maggie, Bob, and Sasha to save the day. It took a while, but we finally got Glenn and Maggie reunited. The producers decided to go with a more subtle version of this and while it still held a bit of weight, I wished it would've seemed like they were happier to be reunited. Eventually, they wind up at Terminus to find a creepy, surprisingly peopleless sanctuary, minus one creepy lady. The only thing I know about Terminus is it is definitely not what it seems.
With the season finale next week, I'm sure we will find out a little more about Terminus. I'm curious to see what happens, because I still have no clue how this season is gonna end. As for tonight, it was another solid episode. Not on the same level of WTF as last week, but overall more well-rounded and solid throughout.
